GRIFFIN PAYNE
WORK + THINGS I BUILD.
The professional side is photography and reporting. The personal side is Ruphus Systems: public projects, interfaces and experiments.
OPEN THE FRAME.
A tight edit of published photography. The full professional archive remains on DVIDS; Media Radar handles the sprawling discovery record.
PROJECTS + EXPERIMENTS.
Ruphus Systems is the project umbrella for the tools, interfaces and experiments I build outside my photography and writing work.
Media
Radar
A searchable discovery archive showing where photography and reporting appear across official sites, editorial outlets, social platforms and public archives.
LiveRuphus
Interfaces
Dashboards, utilities and small interfaces built around my own workflows and experiments.
BuildingConcept
Lab
Small experiments, prototypes and ideas that may eventually grow into larger public projects.
ExploringBEYOND THE FRAME.
Reporting carries the people, history and context that a single photograph cannot hold on its own.
THIS IS
MY SITE.
I’m Griffin Payne. I shoot photos, write stories, build things, break things, fix them and usually turn the result into another project.
My professional work is a major part of this site, but it is not the whole site. This is also the home for the technical projects and experiments I build under Ruphus Systems.
MEDIA
RADAR.
The portfolio stays edited and personal. Media Radar is the structured side: a searchable, filterable index of discovered publication and reuse.
